The picture to my left is a picture of the Bates college campus (I believe in Autumn...). It's where I want to go, where I've wanted to go for about nine months. That's a long time seeing as I'm only a sophomore. The problem with Bates is that I'm not sure about it's International programs (i.e. marketing, business, relations). International is what i want to do, but with a minor in Japanese (concentration on language, culture, and history). Other than this HUGE issue, it's perfect, so I'm torn. Obviously I have a lot of research to do regarding colleges in general... I mean there are over 4,200 in the U.S. alone! Plus just because I want to go there now doesn't mean I'm necessarily committing or anything... I still have plenty of colleges on my list to research. I can change my mind any time.

I don't know right now, but an e-mail I got from Yale reminding me about an information session its having in Palo Alto got me thinking. I mean sure, I'm probably not going to Yale, let alone get accepted, but here I am, typing away, and I have doubts. And I detest doubts because they ruin me. I doubt a question on a test, change my answer, get it wrong. College is big, it's not something I can just get wrong. it's not affecting some measly percent, it's affecting my LIFE. I can't type anymore about this, so I'll type about Bates (using term Bates loosely).
